How I Work
I am in relationship with all of the organizations I work with. Our work together is not about a single interaction; rather an engagement built on trust, information sharing, follow-up and follow-through.
Collaboration and co-facilitation are deeply a foundation for socially just work. Learn more about my deep collaboration with Tanya Williams (pictured above) and how we have worked with a number of organizations to disrupt the nature of white supremacist patterns and culture.
I’ve been able to partner with some of the most impactful and purpose-driven organizations in the country. Read more about who I’ve worked with, the kinds of work I’ve done with each organization, and get to know some phenomenal organizations doing true social justice work in the world.
“Bari understands the complex interpersonal dynamics at play and humanizes everyone's experience in a way that is so affirming.”
Whether I’m designing a program on dismantling racism, coaching individual staff members, or facilitating a workshop on the impacts of oppression, the values and principles of social justice are at the heart of I am and what I do. As a white woman, I am conscious of the skin I walk through the world with and the importance of talking openly about race, power and privilege (my own and others). I think deeply about the contributions I can (and cannot) make in moving us all toward a more socially just world. My work as a social justice educator and facilitator is about challenging patterns of dominance and subordination and exploring the impacts of race and racism on communities.
